The database was established pursuant to part one of Article 49 of the Law of Ukraine “On Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activities”, according to which the National Research Foundation of Ukraine assesses the quality and effectiveness of the implementation of projects supported by the Foundation and establishes and maintains a database of research and developments funded by the Foundation.
In addition, pursuant to subparagraph 8 of paragraph 8 of the Regulations on the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, approved by Decree No. 528 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 4 July 2018, the Foundation, within the scope of its responsibilities, establishes and maintains a database of research and developments funded by the Foundation.
The database has been developed in accordance with the requirements of the following Laws of Ukraine:
- “On Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activities”;
- “On Information”;
- “On Access to Public Information”;
- “On the National Informatization Program”;
- “On the Protection of Information in Information and Communication Systems”;
- “On Personal Data Protection”;
- “On Electronic Identification and Electronic Trust Services”.
